What does a Studio Operations Leader actually do? My job is all about providing the right environment, making sure people have what they need for creatives to do what they do best - create :)
What does a day in your life at work look like? Typically operations is an 'in studio' role, and all about supporting people and workplace engagement. Starting early prepping to make sure everything is ready for staff and clients. Everything from security, maintenance, essentials like coffee & catering to OHS, running events and managing hospitality. I love being the hub of the office - no question too small, no task too big. If you want to be in the thick of it Operations is a great place to be part of everything.
What's the best part of your job? I love seeing people happy and feeling like I have made their day just a bit better. We work hard and life's too short not to love coming to work.
What made you realise construction could be for you? Personal Interest in Architecture and construction and people
What's something that surprised you about working in construction? How far and wide this industry touches people's every day lives. It's not just houses.
Tell us about balancing work with your other interests, or family. Having a great workplace that supports you to manage work priorities and family commitments is vital, my advice is don't put up with an environment that doesn't. Work hard but don't lose sight of what is important
