the inside scoop…

What does a Digital Lead for Interior Architecture actually do?
Imagine you're building a cool video game, and you're the one in charge of designing how all the rooms and spaces inside it will look. Well, in the real world, there are people called Digital Leads in Architecture or BIM Managers who do something similar but for buildings and spaces where we live, work, and play.
So, as a Digital Manager, your main job is like being the captain of a design team. You use computer programs to create 3D models and virtual walkthroughs of buildings before they're even constructed. It's like creating a digital version of a house or an office, and you get to decide how everything looks and fits together.
Your purpose is to make sure that the spaces are not just visually appealing but also functional and comfortable. Think of it as making sure the game levels are not only exciting to look at but also fun to play through.

What does a day in your life at work look like?
The specific tasks and responsibilities may vary based on the project complexity, and the stage of each project. The BIM/ Digital Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring that BIM processes are effectively integrated into the overall project workflow, leading to improved collaboration, accuracy, and efficiency in the construction and design processes. So, in simple terms, the BIM/Digital Lead is like the superhero architect who uses computer magic to plan and organize the entire building process. This helps everyone work together, avoid mistakes, and make sure the final building is awesome, safe, and exactly what everyone dreamed of!
