What does a Technical Consultant actually do? Our company supplies light fittings and my job is to help customers and clients solve problems and creating amazing spaces with our products.
What does a day in your life at work look like? Meeting new people, working on designs and collaborating with my whole team to bring projects to life
What's the best part of your job? The best part is being able to be in the spaces where the ideas and designs you helped make become a reality.
What made you realise construction could be for you? I was always creative when I was younger, but being able to compliment this with technical interests led me to problem solving and creating with Light.
What would you tell your high school self about working in construction? Every opportunity teaches you something about yourself. Your natural talents and abilities will take you far if there is space to nurture them.
What do your friends and family think about working in construction? Initially some were worried about the challenges I would face, but over time I've proven to myself and others what I can do.
What are you excited about in terms of sustainability in construction? We're in an amazing time of innovation and we are excited that our values and dedication to sustainability are becoming a priority in our projects
